David L. Grenier, MBA
Mr. Grenier is President of C-Risk, Inc. He is primarily responsible for strategy development and relationship management
and is Chairman of the C-Risk Advisory Council. He has extensive experience in construction, insurance and risk management,
specializing in wrap-up insurance programs, alternative risk financing, and construction defect mitigation.
Mr. Grenier has over 25 years experience in the construction industry. He has held senior-level positions in project management,
contract management, and risk management with some of the nations top engineering and construction firms. He was also a management
consultant to engineering and construction firms on a variety of commercial and governmental projects.
Prior to founding C-Risk, Mr. Grenier was a Senior Vice President with CNA Insurance, responsible for underwriting, development
and launch of programs, products, and services focused on the construction risks and exposures. He was also an Account Executive
with Zurich Insurance, where he assisted in the development of Zurich-Construction and was responsible for underwriting large
construction accounts.
Mr. Grenier earned his BS in Construction Management from Syracuse University and a MBA in Finance, Marketing, and
Business Strategy from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He is a member of the Construction Financial
Management Association and serves on CFMA’s Construction Industry Liaison Committee. He has authored numerous articles on construction
and risk management issues and is a frequent speaker at construction and insurance conferences.

Richard C. Ehlers, JD, ARM
Mr. Ehlers is an outside advisor to C-Risk, Inc. His primary role is providing objective advice to the C-Risk Advisory Council on matters
related to industry dynamics, strategic consulting practices, marketing & business development, and the design of risk mitigation and
risk financing programs, products and services focused on construction, insurance and risk management initiatives. He has extensive experience
in consulting on property & casualty insurance matters and specializes in general liability insurance issues.
Mr. Ehlers has over 10 years in the insurance industry and has held a number of increasingly responsible positions in some of the nation’s
top insurance and consulting organizations. He was formally a practice leader with an international management consulting firm in their
insurance and financial services practice. He was also lead counsel to CNA Commercial Insurance, addressing a wide range of corporate and
business legal issues associated with CNA's largest business unit.
Mr. Ehlers also directed the formation of CNA’s Building Assurance Center of Excellence, which focused on construction wrap-up insurance
and homeowner warranty products and the Design Center and DesignOne, which focused on P&C and professional liability coverage for architects,
engineers and surveyors. He primarily concentrated on construction insurance issues, with special emphasis on loss control, quality control
and construction risk mitigation practices.
Mr. Ehlers was an environmental litigation specialist for Baltimore-based USF&G, where he focused on reinsurance, claims and legal issues.
Prior to USF&G, he was employed as a reinsurance claims consultant for Imperial Casualty and Indemnity Co. in Omaha, Nebraska.
Mr. Ehlers received his B.A. degree and later his Juris Doctorate at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. During law school, he studied
in Europe at the University of Innsbruck in Innsbruck, Austria, focusing on transnational environmental issues, international human rights,
and international business transactions. He also completed a legal fellowship in the United States Senate, focusing on environmental issues.
Mr. Ehlers obtained the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation in 1995. He has authored numerous journal articles and is a
frequent speaker on insurance and risk management issues at national construction trade association conferences and seminars.
Mark A. Larsen, JD, MBA
Mr. Larsen is a Principal Consultant with C-Risk, Inc. He is also a board member on the C-Risk Advisory Council,
responsible for strategic planning and corporate development issues. He has extensive experience in construction insurance,
risk management, claim management, litigation strategy, litigation management, and the design, development and implementation
of risk management information systems.
Mr. Larsen has over 12 years experience in the insurance industry working with several national insurance companies and claims
organizations. Before starting his consulting career, he was the National Director of Claims for Zurich-American Insurance’s
Construction Business Unit, where he was directly responsible for claim management and the coordination of services provided
on all construction accounts. He created a construction-focused claims department concentrating on proactive claim handling,
claim management and customer responsiveness. Mr. Larsen was previously with American International Group and served as
the Midwest Regional Claim Manager for AIG's Risk Management Division, where he supervised third-party administrators and personally
handled litigation strategy for all claims over $1 million. He was a founding member of the Construction Claims Resolutions Network,
a multi-insurance company group formed to settle claims outside of litigation.
Mr. Larsen earned his J.D. from the John Marshall Law School, Chicago, IL, in 1992, and an MBA from Dominican University's
Graduate School of Business, River Forest, IL, in 1993. Mr. Larsen is an Adjunct Professor at Dominican University's Graduate
School of Business where he teaches Business Law and Ethics and is the Chairman of The Dominican University’s Graduate
School of Business Advisory Board. He is also a Mediator and Arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau.
Mr. Larsen is a frequent speaker on legal and insurance issues related to construction claims and risk management, and is an
active member of American Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Institute of Management Consultants, Association of
Internet Professionals, and the Society of Professionals in Dispute Resolution (SPIDR).
Mr. Larsen is a licensed attorney and a licensed real estate broker in the State of Illinois.
