Denver, CO, February 1, 2000 – David L. Grenier has announced the relocation of C-Risk, Inc. from
Chicago, Illinois to Denver, Colorado. The new corporate headquarters of C-Risk will be located at
1582 South Parker Road, Suite 308, Denver, CO 80231, between downtown Denver and the Denver Tech Center.
C-Risk is an independent risk management consulting firm
that provides services exclusively to construction industry clients. C-Risk is comprised of a
network of construction, insurance and risk management professionals located throughout the U.S.
The C-Risk approach says Mr. Grenier, is to partner on consulting projects with other industry experts,
based on each client’s risk management requirements. This collaborative approach and virtual
organizational structure, provides C-Risk with the breadth and diversity of resources that can be
allocated as required, in order to better service the individual risk management needs of clients.
C-Risk views risk management as a process that should follow a
systematic methodology, says Mr. Grenier. We work with clients to identify and quantify risks,
develop a client-specific risk profile, and formulate a risk management strategy that is correlated with
the client's individual market segmentation and construction operation. C-Risk helps clients to
understand and manage the multitude of risks and exposures inherent within construction,
e.g., financial, contractual, insurance, and provides clients with a "holistic" risk management solution
to mitigate loss exposures and minimize the total cost of risk.
C-Risk specializes in contractual risk transfer, insurance program
design, alternative risk financing, and wrap-up insurance programs. C-Risk also provides consulting services
in loss control and construction defect mitigation, and provides seminars throughout the U.S.
Over the next several months, Grenier, along with other C-Risk consultants,
will be meeting with contractors, insurance agents and brokers, and other business partners to roll-out
their concept of "holistic" risk management for the construction industry.
Given the recent legislative changes of the Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999, and the
technological advances from the proliferation of the Internet, the insurance industry is going through a
critical period of change. C-Risk is well positioned to capitalize on these marketplace changes and
provide construction industry clients with some additional options for addressing the problem of managing risk.
